Having moved up to the 250cc last year, after winning the 150cc British Championship in 2019, he really struggled due to a Covid-hit season. He went into the 2021 season unable to train and so was expecting an uphill battle.

He found great early season form, however, settling for a comfy third-placed finish in the opening race.

As in the first outing, Connor started race two mid-pack but broke away with another rider, Louie Holt. They raced hard for 17 minutes with only a second separating them at the finish line with Connor taking third ahead of Louie.

Race three saw Connor competing against young lady rider Brooke Bunce and this time took fourth. He finished in third place for the the day, returning to the podium on his new 250cc quad.

This weekend Connor is attending a two-day event at Brookthorpe MX in Gloucester.
