Ashford captain Sam Corne has urged his team-mates to seize the moment in Friday night's play-off final.
Corne has already gone one better than last season, when he reached the semi-finals with Greenwich Borough.
"Careers are made of stuff like this," he said. "It’s my first time (in a final).
"Last year I missed out in the semis so you’ve got to enjoy times like these. We’ll rest up and go again on Friday because it’s only half the job done.
"The boys are flying high but as captain, I've said to them 'enjoy it now but we’ve got to repeat it on Friday and earn the right.'
"Horsham are not going to roll over so it’s whoever turns up on the day."
Corne delivered a true captain's performance in the semi-final as Ashford came from behind to win 3-2 in a thriller at Hastings on Monday.
He scored twice, including the winner from the penalty spot in the last minute of extra time.
"They were unbelievable scenes," said Corne. "The boys were tremendous.
"We went behind twice so to come back and nick it at the end, that’s what it’s all about.
"Sometimes you go behind and your heads go down but the boys dug deep. I said to them ‘this might be the biggest part of your career’ and they boys did unbelievable.
"There was always going to be one goal in it. I didn’t see it going to penalties personally.
"Danny Parish has done unbelievable (to win the penalty) and the geezer brought him down.
"Sometimes you’ve just got to step up to the plate.
"The keeper gave me a lot of space (to aim for) and he got in my head a little bit but I just had to commit to the shot and fortunately it went in."
