BT executive charged with murdering wife in Bexley home

A BT executive has been charged with murdering his wife.

Suzanne Winnister, 66, was found with severe head and neck injuries at her £1.6 million marital home in Becketts Close, Bexley, just after 9pm on Tuesday.

Her husband of 35 years Leslie, 68, was arrested at the scene and has now been charged with murder.

Leslie is named as a director of various subsidiaries of British Telecom based at the company's London HQ.

Suzanne previously worked at investment bank Standard Chartered.

Appearing at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Saturday he was remanded in custody and will appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, September 15.
