One man taken to hospital and another arrested after emergency response in Sevenoaks Way, Orpington

One man has been taken to hospital and another has been arrested after an emergency response in Orpington.

Earlier today, a number of police cars, a helicopter and ambulances descended on Sevenoaks Way.

A Met Police spokesman said: "Police were contacted by a member of the public with concerns for the welfare of a man who failed to return to an address in Bexley.

"The man was located in the area of Sevenoaks Way in St Paul’s Cray and taken to hospital for treatment to non life-threatening injuries.

"Inquiries continue to establish the exact circumstances of the incident.

"One man has been arrested in connection with the investigation.

"He was taken to a south London police station where he remains in custody."
