Murder investigation after death outside Belvedere Railway Station

Police launched a murder investigation after a man was found fatally injured outside Belvedere Railway Station in Bexley.

Emergency services were called at around 10.10pm yesterday to a man in his 40s. Despite the efforts of the London Ambulance Service, he died at the scene.

Police believe they know his identity, but are awaiting formal identification by his next of kin before releasing the name.

It is thought that the man had been stabbed.

The area was sealed off. There have been no arrests as yet.

Southeastern reported at 6pm today trains were now able to call at the station.
