A murder suspect was Tasered and arrested after a man was found stabbed to death last night.
Officers have launched the investigation after a 51-year-old man suffered multiple stab wounds in Bromley.
Police were called to Widmore Road shortly after 10.50pm with paramedics and the air ambulance service also in attendance.
The victim was given emergency treatment at the scene but despite medics' efforts to revive him, he was pronounced dead shortly before midnight.
The man's next of kin have been informed.
A 29-year-old man was arrested after police received reports of a man on the roof of a property in Burnt Ash Lane, Bromley in the early hours.
Officers spoke to the man who came down and he was Tasered before being arrested on suspicion of murder.
He is being questioned at a police station in south London this morning.
Both the victim and the man in custody are believed to be known to each other and police say no other suspects are believed to be involved.
Detectives have established a crime scene and are carrying out inquiries into the incident.
Det Ch Insp Chris Wood, who is leading the investigation for the Met Police, said: "Our thoughts are with the victim at this very difficult time. We are in the early stages of our investigation and my team are working to establish what has happened here.
"Anyone who has information that could be useful to our investigation is asked to make contact with us."
