Appeal following fatal crash on A21 Sevenoaks Road, Bromley

An appeal has been launched following a double fatal collision in Bromley.

Police from The Met were called to the A21 Sevenoaks Road, near Knockholt Railway Station, at 1.43pm yesterday following reports of a collision involving three cars.

Officers attended and a Toyota Aygo, a Ford Ka and a Mercedes were found to have been involved in a collision

The occupants of the Toyota, an 88-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman, died at the scene.

Their next of kin have been notified.

The driver of the Ford Ka, a 42-year-old man, was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital.

His condition has been assessed as not life-threatening.

He has subsequently been arrested on suspicion of two counts of causing death whilst disqualified from driving.

The driver of the Mercedes was not injured.

Police are now asking for anyone with information to get in touch.

Witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage are asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Catford on 0208 285 1574.

The road was closed in both directions between Old London Road and Hewitts Roundabout on the M25 following the crash.
