Fire at Cambrai Court, Canterbury being treated as suspicious

A fire at a home in the middle of the night is being treated as arson, with officers now on the lookout for witnesses.

Police and fire crews were called to Cambrai Court in Canterbury in the early hours of January 10 following reports of a front door of the property being on fire.

Officers attended after receiving the call at 2.46am and the fire was extinguished by the fire service.

However, subsequent inquiries have led to the fire being treated as suspicious and an arson investigation is ongoing.

It has not been confirmed how much damage was caused to the property.

A spokesman said no serious injuries were reported.
