Emergency services were called to the scene after a "disturbance" was reported shortly after 1am.

A police spokesman said: "It was reported that a car had collided with a building, after which a man had been assaulted by another man.

"Officers attended and initial inquiries into the incident are under way."

The property, which is a holiday let, is thought to have been spared more serious damage by scaffolding erected in front of the building for works next door.
