Man in his 40s found dead beside tent near B&M in Ten Perch Road, Canterbury

A man has been found dead near a B&M store at a retail park.

Police were called to land near Ten Perch Road in Wincheap, Canterbury, following the discovery of a body beside a tent.

An eyewitness told KentOnline: “I saw a private ambulance behind Pets At Home and B&M.

“They were there for a good half an hour before a body was taken away.

“I shop in these places often and to witness that was a shock.”

Police attended the Canterbury Riverside Retail Park at 8.20am on Wednesday and the man, aged in his 40s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
