Car flips on A28 near Canterbury Christ Church campus

A car has flipped on a busy ring road outside a university campus after a collision involving a cyclist and two vehicles.

Emergency services were called to the A28 outside Canterbury after the vehicle overturned just before 2pm.

Police, fire and ambulance services are on scene on the Rhodaus Town road, near Old Dover Road and the Riding Gate roundabout.

An eyewitness said "There are a number of emergency vehicles at the scene.

"The car has flipped not far from the city wall, near tio Canterbury East Station."

Dashcam footage appears to show the car on its roof just off the road itself, at the turn-off to student accommodation and the university's Augustine House Library.
