Canterbury will reopen for access to a prayer area in the nave. It had opened up its Precincts for visitors earlier this month.

Measures in place include one-way routes, distanced seating, hand sanitiser stations and enhanced cleaning regimes.

There are, as yet, no plans for services to resume and its popular daily online videos will continue.

It will be open Monday to Friday from 4.30pm to 8pm and 10am to 4pm at the weekend.

All charges for access to the cathedral Precincts have been temporarily suspended.
