Man airlifted to hospital after crash in Canterbury Road, Dunkirk

A 50-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after a car crashed into a tree.

Paramedics airlifted the driver of a grey Peugeot 307 to a London hospital after the accident in Canterbury Road, Dunkirk, near Faversham at 10.10am today.

It happened close to the junction for Courtenay Road, a police spokesman said, just off the A2.

He continued: "Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the vehicle immediately before or at the time of the collision.

"They are also asking for anyone who may have dashcam footage to come forward."

The road was closed and reopened from 3.10pm.
