Jogger attacked by dog in Bridge near Canterbury

A jogger was attacked by a pensioner's dog as she went out for a run with her child cycling beside her.

The mum, who is in her 40s, was running through Bridge, near Canterbury, when she passed another woman who had a brown and white spaniel on a lead.

The dog jumped up and bit her on the arm, causing an injury which needed medical treatment.

The incident in Dering Road happened at about 8.45am on Sunday, January, 9, but the owner of the dog did not stop and now police are trying to trace her.

She is described as being about 70, 5ft 7ins and was dressed in a coat and hat.

Officers would like to identify and speak to the woman and are also appealing to anyone who saw the incident to come forward.
