Fire crews tackle car blaze on A2 near Canterbury

Firefighters were called to the A2 after a car caught fire near Canterbury.

It happened on the London-bound carriageway near the Travelodge at 9.10pm last night.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames and were joined by police officers.

Nobody was injured and firefighters left the scene just before 10.30pm.
