Two fire engines were scrambled after a kitchen set alight this evening.

Crews were sent to a property in Park View, Sturry, at around 4.40pm to deal with the blaze.

They were joined by the fire service’s volunteer response team who helped assist those living at the home.

Responders spent almost two hours at the scene before the flames were extinguished before leaving.

A spokesman said: “There were no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.”
