Thomas Hopkins charged with fraud accused of falsely putting shed for sale on social media

A man accused of falsely putting a shed up for sale on social media intending to pocket the cash has been charged with committing fraud.

Thomas Hopkins is due to appear at Medway Magistrates Court on October 9 over the alleged offence in Gillingham in February.

The 25 year old, of Chineham Way in Canterbury, has also been charged with the burglary of a building in Wincheap in March, where cash was reportedly stolen.

He has been released on bail and is due to appear at Margate Magistrates’ Court on that charge on October 11.
