Crews worked to extinguish the flames, using several main jets with water supplied from a nearby private swimming pool.

There was heavy smoke coming from the outbuilding, and people living and travelling in the area were being told to keep their windows and doors closed.

In an update at 1pm, KFRS said crews were continuing to advise people living or travelling in the area to keep windows and doors closed, but the incident had been scaled back to three fire engines.

But, at 3.30pm, they reported that firefighting operations had been completed and people were now free to open windows and doors.

There are no reported injuries, and the cause is not yet known.
