Four arrested in high street after fight at Canterbury West train station

Four teens have been arrested following a fight at a train station - after a member of public intervened to stop a suspect escaping.

Officers from British Transport Police were called to Canterbury West station at about 9.30pm yesterday following a report of an affray.

Four teenagers, one 18-year-old, one 17-year-old, and two aged 16, were arrested in Canterbury high street.

One man reportedly tried to flee the scene, but was arrested after a member of the public stepped in and stopped him.

They remain in custody.
