Free alcohol at 'festive fling' in Canterbury's King's Mile this weekend

Free samples of alcohol will be available at a “festive fling” in Canterbury this weekend.

The event, which is being held by The King’s Mile and Canterbury Business Improvement District (BID), will see a range of city centre businesses along The King’s Mile open their doors to welcome guests to sample tipples.

The drinks available to taste will include festive infused gins, sparkling wine, Christmas cocktails, spiced cider and rum, and Swedish Glögg.

Live music will be on hand to entertain guests, while independent stores will be open for Christmas shopping. Visitors will also be invited to take part in a word puzzle, to be in with a chance of winning a hamper packed with festive treats.

At each stop on the tasting trail, guests will receive a small taste of a seasonal drink. Some venues will also have ambassadors on site, to speak about the beverages available.

The event is running from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday (December 7).
