Nude life models to wear face masks when Canterbury drawing sessions resume

Life models will be baring everything but their faces when they are welcomed back to drawing classes from next week.

Illustrators will have ample opportunity to refine their technique for sketching face masks as wearing them becomes the temporary norm.

All participants and naked models attending the Canterbury sessions will be donning the masks and socially distancing.

The classes, on the second floor of the Chocolate Café, in Guildhall Street, will run every Tuesday until December.

Attendees are advised to bring a mask and hand sanitiser.

There will be eight people in the room in total, including the mask-wearing model who will be posing about eight metres.

During lockdown, virtual drawing sessions were held, with models providing photos.

To book a place for the restarted classes, which cost £5, contact Janet Sayers on 07864 927701 or J.V.Sayers@kent.ac.uk.
