Canterbury: Girl attacked by group of men in Wincheap

A teenage girl was left battered and bruised after she was attacked by six men in an unprovoked assault.

The youngster was set upon as she walked through Wincheap, near Canterbury, at 7.30pm last night.

As she approached the Gordon Road junction she was grabbed by her coat and punched to the ground.

The six men then attacked her before running off along Gordon Road.

She was taken to hospital with cuts and bruises.
