Gun seized in Saare and death threats made to Aylesham man lands two men in court

A man has been charged with conspiracy to murder after a gun was seized by police.

Christian Elgar, of no fixed abode, has been remanded in custody as part of an investigation into death threats made to a man from Aylesham on Wednesday, May 1.

Elgar, 35, will appear at Canterbury Crown Court on August 5.

Samuel Jameson, of The Avenue in Hersden, was also charged on Monday in connection with the incident.

He is accused of supplying firearms and has been remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on August 5.

The latest charges come after officers seized a gun on May 1 following a search of a field in Sarre.

The weapon was discovered after they stopped a car just before midnight on the A28.

Robin Ling, from Beach Road in Westgate-on-Sea, was arrested along with Charlie Anderson, of East Street in Canterbury.

The pair, both aged 24, were later charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition as well as conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.

They are due to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on October 14.
