Students from The University of Kent are also expected at the event, as two coaches left the campus this morning.

Last year, an estimated 700,000 people descended on London to participate in the People's Vote march.

Ian Morris, chairman of Canterbury for Europe is at the 'Put it to the People' demonstration.

He said: "We want to see justice done, ideally a revocation of Article 50, but certainly we need to put our pressure on parliament to make sure they do the right thing.

"I think it's important that we have a People's Vote because, after nearly three years since the referendum vote the government hasn't been able to come up with a satisfactory solution.

"If parliament can have three, four, five votes on the same deal - why shouldn't the public?"
