Doctor Who fans could be in for a treat if plans for a life-size Tardis on Herne Bay seafront get the go-ahead.
The city council is in talks about installing one of the famous time-travelling boxes in Central Parade in a bid to attract more tourists.
Kent County Council has also confirmed it is considering putting a 1963 replica in the town’s library.
It is thought the 8ft booths – modelled on old police boxes – will be either donated or partly funded by outside contributors.
The Gazette understands maker Jason Onion chose Herne Bay because of its links to Anthony Coburn, the Doctor Who writer credited with inventing the Tardis.
He lived in the town from 1961 until his death in 1977.
