North Thanet MP Roger Gale loves both Scott of the Antarctic (1948) and The Battle of River Plate (1956) (28601544)

Labelled an "utterly heroic and tragic truly epic story" by Sir Roger, Scott of the Antarctic tells the tale of the ill-fated Terra Nova expedition and the attempt to be the first to reach the South Pole.

The Battle of River Plate movie depicts the early Second World War pursuit of the Graf Spee, a Nazi batteship.

Sir Roger notes how he loves the patriotism of the Allied forces defeating the enemy in the key 1939 sea battle.

Mr Johnson said: "My favourite all time film is Michael Caine’s Zulu.

"It managed to be both patriotic yet respectful to those who we were fighting against at the time."

Laura Trott

Standing the test of time incredibly well, the first instalment of Peter Jackson's universally-loved trilogy hit the screens almost 20 years ago.

As Orlando Bloom's first film, it launched the career of the Canterbury star.

Adam Holloway

Gravesham MP Adam Holloway couldn't pick a winner between Bruno (2009) or Gladiator (2000)

For Mr Holloway, it was a difficult choice between Sacha Baron Cohen's comedy and Ridley Scott's classic.

Controversial mockumentary Bruno split opinions following its release and received lukewarm reviews.

Robin Williams comedy The Birdcage was also an honourable mention for the Gravesham MP.

Damian Collins

Folkestone and Hythe MP Damian Collins: The Godfather (1972)

One of the most popular and influential films ever made, it's no surprise the first in Francis Ford Coppola's trilogy made the list.

Commenting on why he chose the critically-acclaimed 1994 film, Mr Mackinlay said: "Injustice, hope and release.

"And the baddies get their comeuppance."

Natalie Elphicke

With action flick Top Gun featuring twice on this list, Tom Cruise's much-anticipated sequel should seemingly prove a hit with Kent MPs when its released this year.

Gordon Henderson

Sittingbourne and Sheppey MP Gordon Henderson loves both Zulu (1964) and Jesus Christ Superstar (1973)

Mr Henderson says selecting a favourite between his contrasting picks are dependent on his mood.

War movie Zulu has now been selected twice - meaning it can share the much-sought-after accolade with Top Gun of being the most-loved film among Kent MPs.

Kelly Tolhurst

Upon choosing his all-time favourite Mr Tugendhat said: "But now I seem to watch more of The Secret Life of Pets and Frozen."

Helen Whately

Faversham and Mid Kent MP Helen Whately couldn't pick between Pretty Woman (1990) and The English Patient (1996)

Like her Tonbridge and Malling counterpart, Mrs Whately admits she's also most recently watched Frozen.

Picking between rom-com Pretty Woman and The English Patient was too tough for the Faversham MP, who says her favourite depends on her mood.

And there we go. That rounds off a hugely insightful story you never knew you wanted to read.

It's a shame we couldn't enlighten you with the whole list of Kent MPs but hopefully you may have learnt some useless, semi-political trivia.
