Extinction Rebellion: Kent woman arrested at St Paul's Cathedral protest

A Kent woman is among those arrested after an Extinction Rebellion (XR) and Christian Climate Action protest at St Paul's Cathedral.

Sixteen members of Christian Climate Action, including several clergy members, took part in the gathering yesterday to demand the Church of England divest from fossil fuels

Two banners were displayed objecting to fossil fuel investment by the Church of England and calling for divestment.

Police were called to the London landmark and protestors were arrested.

It has been confirmed to KentOnline by XR Canterbury that a woman from Kent was among those arrested.

Extinction Rebellion activists and its affiliated groups began two weeks of climate protests in London last Monday.
