Canterbury and Whitstable Labour Party apologise after tweet which said Keir Starmer 'did a poo'

A Labour party group have apologised after an immature post was shared on social media saying their party's leader "did a poo".

The blunder was shared by the Canterbury and Whitstable Labour Party on Twitter yesterday about Keir Starmer.

It has since been deleted but has been shared widely online.

The post, shared at 8.32pm yesterday, read: "Keir Starmer did a poo."

An apology was issued moments later, which read: "There has tonight been an unauthorised tweet on this account which has been deleted.

"Apologies for this especially as it demonstrated a lack of Labour Socialist values."

This apology has also since been deleted.

The Canterbury and Whitstable Labour Party have been approached for comment.
