Police and ambulances rush to New Dover Road in Canterbury after man dies

A man died in a property in Canterbury this morning, prompting a large emergency response.

Four ambulance vehicles and several patrol cars were called to New Dover Road at about 10am.

The man, who was in his 40s, could not be saved.

A police spokesman said: "Officers attended the scene where the death is not currently being treated as suspicious and a report will now be prepared for the coroner.

"The man's next of kin are aware."
