Large stamp collection stolen during burglary in Edmund Street, Wingham, near Canterbury

A large stamp collection, along with cash and other sentimental items, has been stolen in a break-in.

The burglary took place at a property in Edmund Street, Wingham, between 8.15am and 11.20am on April 24.

It was reported that the victim’s home was broken into, and a quantity of cash and sentimental possessions, including a large stamp collection, were taken.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses.

A police spokesman said: “Officers have carried out a number of enquiries to locate the suspect and would like to hear from anyone else who has CCTV in this area, including the surrounding roads, as the footage may assist the investigation.

“Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area, or who has private CCTV or doorbell footage, should call 01843 222289, quoting 46/68011/25.
