Canterbury: Man assaulted outside pub in Burgate

A young man needed hospital treatment after allegedly being attacked outside a pub in Canterbury.

He suffered severe cuts and bruising after the incident in Burgate between 10.30pm and 11pm on Saturday, June 25.

The victim alleges that he was assaulted following an altercation and the suspect may have been part of a group of men and women.

Police Sergeant Chris Dyer said: "This was a violent attack on a young man that caused injuries needing hospital attention.

"We would be keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault."
