Steven Field from Canterbury to appear at Margate Magistrates' Court

A 29-year-old man has been charged after a hammer, crowbar, screwdrivers and rubber gloves were seized by police during his arrest.

Steven Field, of Shaftesbury Road in Canterbury, was pulled over by officers on the A28 and arrested on Tuesday, June 4.

He was charged with using a motor vehicle without insurance or a licence and going equipped for theft.

He has also been charged in connection with the theft of a Sat Nav and mobile phone reported stolen from a vehicle in a Canterbury car park on Sunday, May 5.

Mr Field appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court last Wednesday, where he was released on bail.

He is due to appear before magistrates in Margate on Thursday, June 20.
