The incident happened at the junction near Mansfields fruit farm - the scene of another tragedy last May, when student Christopher Innes was knocked down by a van and killed.

Police have issued an appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dashcam footage to call the serious collision investigation unit on 01622 798538 quoting RY/NR/15/19.
