A28 closed by Chilham accident

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Chilham.

The accident happened on the A28 near Chilham railway station just after 7am.

The road remains closed between the junctions with the A252 and Shalmsford Street while police investigate.

Traffic between Canterbury and Ashford is affected, with drivers being diverted via Challock and Old Wives Lees.
