Police helicopter scrambled over Canterbury after suspected migrants spotted getting out of lorry

The police helicopter was scrambled over Canterbury earlier after several people thought to be migrants, were spotted getting out of a lorry.

Officers were called to Keeper's Hill at about 4.20pm after the people were spotted.

James Walker, spokesman for Kent Police said: "Officers are in attendance and have located two individuals, who will be handed into the care of the Home Office.

"Inquires at the scene are ongoing and the search has been supported by the National Police Air Service."
