Missing teenager Alex Willoughby has been found safe and well

A teenager who sparked a widespread appeal when she went missing two weeks ago has been found safe and well.

Police cadet Alex Willoughby, 17, disappeared from her home in Verbena Way, Oxford November 14, prompting a search spanning several counties.

On Monday, Kent Police released CCTV images of Alex with a man in Canterbury, taken the previous week.

Officers said they were "extremely concerned" for her welfare.

This evening, Thames Valley Police tweeted: "Great News. Missing girl Alex Willoughby has been found safe and well. Thanks to @kent_police @BTP @missingpeople the public & the media."
