Kent’s tallest drop slide, a zip wire and a wild fort are just some of the highlights of the new playground at Wildwood.

The new Wildwood adventure play area is now complete and open for business, after a massive building project to extend and improve the existing facilities.

The centrepiece of the new play area is the Tree Top Drop Slide, a modern version of a Victorian design that starts with a 26ft vertical drop before levelling out for an exhilaratingly fast and slippery ride.

Kids and adults alike can face their fears and experience the thrill of free-fall again and again in safety as the specially designed linoleum slide glides the rider to a gentle stop.

Fiona Paterson from Wildwood Trust said: “The build has been a long one, so we are very grateful to our in-house ranger team who have battled through snow and freezing temperatures to get the project finished on time.

“Thanks to all of our members who have been so patient and understanding during the closure, we hope you enjoy it.”
