Written by Family Guy producer Gary Janetti, the satirical cartoon will be titled The Prince.

The show will tell the story of the royal life through the eyes of six-year-old Prince George.

Bloom, who celebrated his 43rd birthday last week, will be joined in the cast by Frances De La Tour and Tom Hollander.

Pirates of the Caribbean actor Bloom - who is engaged to pop star Katy Perry - has recently starred in the Amazon Prime series, Carnival Row.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have dominated the headlines this month after their decision to a new life in Canada and step back from their royal duties.

The couple are set to lose their HRH titles as a result of the bombshell decision.
