Girls followed by gang in Whitehall Road area of Canterbury

A gang following a group of girls after offering them a lift have forced police to launch an investigation.

The youngsters spoke to a group of two men and two women yesterday in the Whitehall Road area of Canterbury between 8.15pm and 8.45pm.

They were then offered a lift by the adults after they had asked asked for directions.

The children then met up with a parent in Kingsmead Road and said the group had followed them.

An investigation has since been launched to establish the circumstances and inquiries are continuing.
