Police search River Stour at Fordwich after Foster Christian charged with murder of Natasha Sadler, 40, and Simon Gorecki, 47, in Canterbury

Police have spent much of the afternoon searching the River Stour in connection with the suspected stabbing of two people in Canterbury.

Officers and fire crews were spotted in the car park of the George and Dragon pub at Fordwich throughout today and Friday.

Divers were seen in the water apparently searching the river.

Police have confirmed the search is in connection with the death of Natasha Sadler, 40, and Simon Gorecki, 47, who died of knife wounds in Canterbury on March 29.

Foster Christian, of Dickens Avenue, Canterbury, has been charged with two counts of murder.

He is also charged with wounding Ellis's son, Connaugh Harris, 20, and a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

Crews left the scene shortly before 4pm.

It is not known if anything has been found.
