A former Kent winner of The Apprentice is well set for the jungle after splashing out on adventure clothing in a Faversham store.

Stella English, who lives in Whitstable, has been tipped to appear in reality TV show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, which starts on Sunday.

Although she is not listed in the 10 official contestants unveiled today, some fans believe Ms English could still make an appearance in the show.

The 34-year-old surprised staff at The Simply Store when she arrived to buy a string of items, including a pair of hiking boots and bodywarmer.

Although denying to staff at the Jubilee Way store she is taking part in the ITV show, Ms English even left the shop wearing a brown hat familiar to viewers of the programme.

Manager Gary Stokes said: "It was great having Stella in the shop.

"She was very friendly and chatty and seemed enthusiastic about the gear she was looking at.

"She wouldn't tell us exactly what she needed the items for, but we did our best to help her find the right things."

After Ms English's visit last week, Mr Stokes added: "We found out that she was rumoured for I'm A Celeb, which she denied but we're not convinced judging by the stuff she was interested in!"

Last month, Ms English - who pleaded poverty at an employment tribunal with her former employer Lord Sugar - was spotted at a Kent job centre.

She was spotted walking into the Sittingbourne centre before leaving with forms.

It came after Ms English claimed she was on the verge of losing her home during a constructive dismissal case against tycoon Lord Sugar.
