Student fined after swearing at police

A 19-year-old student has appeared before a court after swearing at a policeman.

Officers were confronted by Dallas Texas Liburd after he had been thrown out of the Cross Keys public house in Oaten Hill, Canterbury.

The Canterbury College student was told to go home, but became abusive. He lowered his head and shouted swearwords into an officer’s face.

Liburd, of Nunnery Fields, Canterbury, admitted using threatening words or behaviour. He was fined £50 with costs £43 by the city's magistrates.
