Arrest after knife seized from Canterbury park near Spring Lane

A teenager is to appear in court after police seized a knife while they patrolled park.

Teejay Groombridge, 18, was arrested yesterday morning in Canterbury and later charged with possession of a bladed article.

Officers seized the lock knife after speaking with a group of people in Bab's Hill, which overlooks Spring Lane.

Groombridge, of Discovery Walk, Canterbury, has been released on bail.

He was arrested near to Russet Road.

The 18-year-old is to appear before Margate Magistrates' Court on Thursday, July 9.
