A jack-knifed caravan led to congestion on the London-bound Thanet Way on Friday lunchtime.

The incident, between the Whitstable and Dargate junctions, happened around midday as the car towing it turned sharply.

Both lanes were blocked and debris was left on the carriageway, leading to tailbacks around Whitstable.

Police were quickly on the scene and cleared the vehicle into the inside lane. Nobody was hurt.
