A Kent restaurant has been rated in the top 10 "everyday dining" experiences in the UK by Tripadvisor.
The Corner House in Canterbury has amassed more than 1,150 five star reviews and is now named in the website's Travellers' Choice Best of the Best 2020 awards.
It is ranked fourth in the country, with diners overwhelmingly praising the food and service in their reviews.
The Corner House restaurants, which includes the first to open in Minster in Thanet in 2013, were established by Matt Sworder who trained at Gordon Ramsey's La Noisette. It already has a clutch of awards.
The Canterbury eatery was opened in 2016 after the refurbishment of a 16th Century former coach house in the shadow of the city walls.
It has already been awarded two rosettes and is again a finalist in the Taste of Kent awards. The kitchen is now run by head chef Mark Cragg.
Among the many comments of praise on Tripadvisor includes one who wrote : "A fantastic meal at the Corner House Restaurant. "The lamb shoulder sharing main was to die for. We then moved onto the sharing dessert; OMG-heaven on a wooden board!"
Another said: "We were absolutely bowled over by the delicious menu, the friendly relaxed atmosphere, the spacious areas and the decent sized proportions we were served."
On its website TripAdvisor says: "Every year, we pull together all the reviews, ratings, and saves that travellers share from across the globe - and use that info to spotlight the very best.
"The Travellers' Choice Best of the Best awards celebrates them all."
For restaurants, the top-rated eateries are split into two categories - "fine dining" and "everyday dining".
The Corner House is ranked at number four in the latter list, with Chez Antoinette in Covent Garden, London, at number one.
Matt Sworder said he was delighted with the latest accolade for one of his restaurants.
"We always strive to deliver fantastic food and service and to be placed in the top 10 in the UK is amazing," he said.
"It’s been a tough few months and to receive this accolade is a massive boost for us.
"I’d like to thank all our guests who have taken the time to provide such positive feedback and my team who work so hard to make every experience enjoyable."
The praise for the Canterbury restaurant comes after a similar accolade from TripAdvisor for Dymchurch Amusement Park .
