Canterbury: Two teenagers arrested after graveyard rape in Longport

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with the reported rape of a woman in Canterbury.

The pair – aged 16 and 18 – were quizzed by police over the suspected attack in an old graveyard near the Longport roundabout.

A woman in her 20s reported being raped at about 4.15am on Thursday, February 23.

Officers taped off the scene and carried out door-to-door enquiries in the hours that followed.

An 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy from Canterbury were later arrested.

They have been released on bail until June 4 while further investigations are carried out.
