ITV's The Voice could propel three University of Kent Canterbury students to stardom

Three students from the University of Kent had the judges spinning their seats on television's biggest singing talent show.

The trio, called Equip to Overcome, performed a stunning harmony version of 'Blinded By Your Grace' on week five of the blind auditions of The Voice on ITV.

Three judges, Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am and Jennifer Hudson all turned, but it was Sir Tom who persuaded them to join his team.

Gabrielle Danso, Yolanda Pikitayi and Shalom Ozua, who are all 20, met after starting the same law degree course at the university and found they had a mutual love and talent for singing.

They went on to establish the university's gospel choir and have been honing their performances and singing regularly on the campus, but now find them themselves in the national limelight.
