A warning has been issued after an out-of-control bonfire spread to dry grass.
The blaze sparked in Preston, near Canterbury, at about 12.10pm today, with two engines called to the scene.
There are no reported injuries.
The fire service is now warning the public to keep bonfires under control.
A spokesman said: “Keep bonfires to a manageable size, and build them clear of property and greenery.
“Supervise the burning at all times and always keep a bucket of water or a hosepipe nearby.
“If a bonfire gets out of control, move to a safe place and call 999.”
