A woman died after collapsing outside a cinema, the ambulance service confirmed today.

Police, paramedics and fire crews were called to the Riverside leisure complex in Kingsmead Road, Canterbury on Friday morning.

A cordon was established, with a protective screen put up around the steps next to the Curzon cinema.

Today, an ambulance service spokesperson confirmed the woman sadly died at the scene.

“We were called at about 11.45am on Friday to a report a person collapsed in Kingsmead Road, Canterbury,” a spokesman said this afternoon.

“Sadly, one person died at the scene.”
