Police say a woman rushed to hospital early this morning has suffered stab wounds.
Officers were called to a semi-detached house in Sturry, near Canterbury, after the alarm was raised at 1.25am.
Officers attended along with paramedics and the woman was taken to a London hospital with serious injuries.
A man in his 20s has been arrested and remains in custody while enquiries continue.
Forensics teams were seen going in and out of the house, while the street has been cordoned off at either end.
Officers at the scene have been seen speaking to residents.
Investigators say the woman's injuries are consistent with stab wounds.
